Confirmed dates and timings for classes

Hey all, thanks for coming down to our welcome tea on Wednesday! We apologise for all the confusion with regards to class sessions (dates and timings). Here is the confirmed class schedule for this semester. We have taken away the Wednesday beginners' class, unfortunately, due to underwhelming response.

Beginners' Class
Days: Friday
Starts on: 5th Feb (Fridays)
Time: 6.30pm - 8pm
No. of lessons: 9 (classes are every week EXCEPT on recess week and Good Friday week!)
Cost: $75

Advanced Beginners' Class
Days: Friday
Starts on: 5th Feb
Time: 8pm - 9.30pm
No. of lessons: 9 (classes are every week EXCEPT on recess week and Good Friday week!)
Cost: $75

Do take note of the change in days and times! Don't come on the wrong day. See you all next Friday! KEEP DANCING!

Jazzttitude's Welcome Tea and Classes!

Hey everyone!

Jazzttitude's welcome tea will be on the 27th of Jan 2010! That's a Wednesday, just fyi. (:

It'll be at 6.30pm at the YIH dance studio!

The YIH dance studio is on the 6th floor of YIH, opposite the student club offices, and has RED curtains!

There'll be a FREE trial class by our resident choreographer, Zee, as well as a mini performance for you from our performance team!

Beginner Classes

Days: Wednesday and Friday

Committee Positions Sem 2 09/10

Dear all!

Hope you are enjoying holidays now and are looking forward to exam results release next week! In the meantime, do consider these awesome committee positions opened up specially for you. If you want to make more new friends as well as enjoy a more fulfilling, enriching and fun CCA life at NUS, do not hesitate to apply!

Positions available:
Beginners' Classes (*Wednesdays or Fridays 6.30pm-8pm)
*There will be 2 beginners' class slots next semester due to overwhelming response, so please indicate your preferred class day when applying for position
2 treasurers + 2 secretaries (1 treasurer + 1 secretary for each beginners' session)

Advanced Beginners' Class (Fridays 8pm-9.30pm)
1 treasurer + 1 secretary

Criteria:
No prior experience needed but commitment is of utmost importance. Committee members cannot miss more than 2 classes in the entire semester otherwise no CCA points will be awarded and position will be forfeited.

Congratulations Juniors! :) Sorry about the delayed results for ADVANCED CLASS but here is it!Do refer to the announcement made in the previous post. This team will be the official Jazzttitude team for external performances in semester 2 but because CAC has informed that CAC+US will be pushed back to August/Sep next year, there will be a 2nd round of auditions after semester 2 classes to seive out more potential dancers for the team.

In addition, keep a lookout for the COMMITTEE PLACES up for grabs soon!

Audition Results - BEGINNERS

CONGRATULATIONS!

To all juniors who made it through the auditions! For those for you who didn't, it's okay, try harder the next time! Also, stay around as we open up positions for committee after the exams.

With regards to the team chosen for the audition as well as dancers who want to know when the next audition will be held, the following info is CRUCIAL:

An important announcement: CAC just announced to us (about a week ago) that CAC+US will now be held in August/September instead of March/April due to some constraints in finding a suitable venue for the large event.

Thus, this performance team that we have just chosen will be involved with external performances that we have in the upcoming semester 2. We're looking forward to keeping to this team for CAC+US if there is no problem with commitment.

However, a 2ND AUDITION will still be held at the end of SEMESTER 2 09/10 classes to seive out potential dancers to form the CAC+US team.

Make-up class for Beginners

Hey all,

Beignners' make-up dance class is this Friday (13/11) from 7pm-8.30pm (do take note of the change in time) at the YIH dance studio. The dance studio is on the 6th storey at YIH, walk up the stairs from the study room.

Just a recap of the quick announcements I made at the end of class:

1. cac subclub camp - get back to me asap (yes or maybe also must get back to me. you can sms your replies to yuwei, alicia, sam, myself or email to m3lissal3ong@hotmail.com.)

2. audition results will be out in 1-2 weeks time

3. positions for the committee 09/10 (sem2) will be up for grabs probably after the exams but keep yourself updated by following this blog or tuning in regularly for more news. you don't have to be in the concert team to join the committee because non-concert members will mainly be in charge of the classes (money matters, attendance) as well as doing public relations and organising outings. CCA points will be awarded.
